IP Translation
We provide English-to-Turkish patent and related IP translations prepared and reviewed entirely by human professionals. We do not use AI or machine translation in our translation workflow.
Each file passes through preparation, specialist translation, engineering review and Turkish linguistic review. We work with independent translators and engineers through long-standing professional relationships, assembling the team according to the technical field, scope and volume of the assignment.
Preparation & Specialist Selection
We review the source documents, identify the technical field and gather the relevant terminology and reference materials. The file is then assigned to a specialist translator whose experience matches the subject matter.
Specialist Translation
The translator prepares the Turkish text directly from the source, with attention to technical meaning, patent terminology and consistency. Ambiguities and questions of interpretation are identified for clarification rather than resolved through assumptions.
Engineering Review
An engineer specialising in the relevant field compares the translation with the source. The review addresses technical meaning, terminology, completeness and consistency, including the relationship between the claims, description and drawings where applicable.
Turkish Linguistic Review
A specialist Turkish linguist reviews grammar, syntax, spelling, punctuation and readability. Linguistic refinements preserve the technical meaning and terminology, with substantive questions referred back to the relevant specialist before completion.
Human Translation & Review
Our translations are written by specialist translators and examined by professionals with distinct technical and linguistic responsibilities. Translation decisions and revisions remain with the people responsible for the work, without AI-generated text or automated translation.
Flexible Project Teams
We organise each team around the document’s technology, complexity and volume. An individual application may require a focused team, while a larger project may involve several specialists with clearly allocated responsibilities.
The team can expand or adapt as requirements change, while retaining the same translation and review stages.
Long-Term Specialist Cooperation
We work with independent translators and engineers whose expertise and working methods we know through continuing professional cooperation. These relationships help us select suitable specialists and maintain continuity across recurring instructions.
For ongoing portfolios, familiarity with the subject matter, reference documents and the instructing firm’s preferences supports consistency between related files.
Patent & IP Documents
Our work includes patent specifications, claims, abstracts, amendments and related prosecution documents. Other IP materials are assessed according to their subject matter and intended use.
The purpose of the translation is established at the outset, whether for filing, prosecution, professional review or another agreed requirement.
Terminology & References
Approved terminology, earlier translations and patent family documents can be incorporated into the workflow. Questions affecting technical interpretation or legal meaning are referred to the instructing firm.
Source-text updates and subsequent amendments are identified separately so that the translation remains aligned with the version specified by the instructing firm.
Scope & Fees
We agree the documents covered, word-count basis, delivery requirements and professional fee before work begins. Additional documents, source amendments and further revisions are assessed against the agreed scope.
For recurring work, a continuing arrangement can cover team allocation, terminology preferences, document versions and reporting.
Our services cover patents, trademarks and designs, together with the translations, renewals and ongoing work that support them. From an initial application to prosecution and the maintenance of rights, we provide comprehensive representation in Türkiye for the matters your firm entrusts to us.
