Filing & Grant
We handle national patent applications and related formalities before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, from filing through to grant. Filings in other jurisdictions can be coordinated with independent local colleagues.
PCT National Phase
We handle entry into the Turkish national phase of PCT applications, including document review, required translations and filing formalities. Subsequent prosecution can be included in the engagement.
EP Validation
We handle European patent validation applications in Türkiye, including Turkish translations and the required submissions. Validation in other countries can be coordinated with independent local representatives.
Patent Prosecution
We review search and examination reports and prepare responses, arguments and claim amendments in consultation with the instructing firm. Our work includes the procedural steps required to progress applications towards grant.
Appeals
We assess and prepare appeals against decisions of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. The grounds, supporting materials and proposed approach are discussed with the instructing firm before submission.
Patent Oppositions & Replies
We prepare patent oppositions and replies to third-party oppositions, supported by prior art research and technical analysis. We also assist with third-party observations and related proceedings within the agreed scope.
EPO Representation
European Patent Attorney Murat Cevahir Coşkun provides direct EPO representation for instructing firms outside Europe. Services include European applications, Euro-PCT European phase entry, prosecution and agreed grant-stage formalities.
FTO & Patent Opinions
We assess third-party patent rights in relation to specified products, processes and jurisdictions. Work includes freedom-to-operate, infringement, non-infringement and validity analysis, with relevant technical and legal input.
Patent Litigation
We cooperate with a specialist law firm on patent infringement, invalidity and related disputes. Technical analysis and patent expertise support the litigation work, with court representation undertaken by appropriately authorised legal professionals.
Annuities
We monitor and pay Turkish patent annuities under agreed instruction and reporting arrangements. Portfolio records and upcoming deadlines are reviewed when responsibility is transferred.
Recordals
We handle changes of ownership, name and address, together with assignment, licence and merger-related recordals. Supporting documents and procedural requirements are reviewed for each instruction.
Agreements & Transactions
We work with legal counsel on patent assignment, licence and merger-related agreements. Patent due diligence and ownership, status and technical coverage reviews can support acquisitions, investment and other transactions.
Portfolio Management
